The Penman Johnson Solicitors Employment Team is led by Jacqueline Alderton, who is a principal of the firm and a member of the Employment Lawyers Association and European Employment Lawyers Association. 

The Team is well regarded for providing advice to employees in both contentious and non contentious matters.

We aim to work closely with clients to provide professional support and continuing advice in an increasingly complex and ever-changing and developing area of the law.

Advice to Employees

We offer advice to Employees on all aspects of employment including:

To advise you on your employment issue we will need to know:

  • Your date of birth
  • Your length of service with your current employer
  • Your salary 
  • Other aspects of your remuneration package

We will also need to have sight of:

  • Your contract of employment
  • Any staff handbook
  • Other policies including grievance and disciplinary procedures
  • Copies of appraisals
  • Relevant correspondence to or from you or your employer
